Cousins

Surely the highlight of this trip will be our first meeting with my husbands 2nd cousins, who live here in Berlin.  This is my husband with the daughters of my husband’s grandmother’s nephew.  The nephew also joined us for dinner and at 93 is as sharp as a tack.  My husband’s Grandmother was 17 years older than her brother and she emigrated to the U.S.with her husband and 10 children in 1920, before her nephew was born.  Fortunately he and his brother survived World War II and went on to have families and very successful careers in the movie industry. It was a delightful evening. Looking forward to a day out with the girls tomorrow.
