Kodak Disc 4000 camera

This camera belonged to my aunt; it was made between 1982 and 1984, so it's rather amazing that the batteries are still working.  The Kodak film discs were a further development from the Instamatic series;  the negatives were even smaller than the 110 film negatives. They were arranged around the edge of a plastic hub, in a similar manner to Viewmaster discs. The disc was mounted in a light-proof cassette which could simply be dropped into the camera. Every time a photo was taken, the disc rotated to the next negative. The tiny negatives allowed the cameras to be really slim, but unfortunately, the quality of the pictures was disappointing, so no more disc cameras were made after 1988, though Kodak kept making film until 1999.
