Another glorious day after the coldest night of the year........or so they say.

This afternoon it was a visit to the orthodontist in Leeds, where our granddaughter, Jennie, had her brace adjusted.
She is a very good patient, as it looked very uncomfortable to me, but she never flinched.
She was also congratulated on keeping her teeth so beautifully clean.

So back to our house, where I sneaked this photo.
Then made orange cup cakes. ( I still call them buns.)
She had already baked some ginger biscuits in the morning, and brought some for us.
MrC couldn't resist having two with his cup of tea.

I'm pleased that baking is still a favourite pastime for both her and her sister, who had baked some chocolate muffins while we were out.
So that's the cake tins filled, but not for long!
