Here's a male Hairy Woodpecker using his tail for balance as he checks out the goodies down in a hole.
His head is a blur of motion as he hammers away, but even so I think you can see that he was having a "bad hair day" with his red feathers sticking out like horns.
His comical ways on this cold gray day made me smile!
