Rings of Bright Water

Today has been glorious but very cold .The canal was frozen in parts and there was a chill wind .Even so too good to miss .I went out on my bike and rode  along the canal .The geese were around the bridge area where it was some what sheltered and very sunny. Who should come to clear the field ? No prizes for guessing .His technique for clearing a 'pitch' is to swim round and round in circles , neck lowered and tongue out as he squawks .Effective it is .
