"Don't chatter with your mouth full, Gaylord!"

Dear Diary,

It is 37 degrees warmer this morning than yesterday...a balmy 22 F!  We got a bit of snow last night but now it will turn over to rain as the temperature rises to near 50 F this afternoon.  What a mess it will make!  Glad I went out yesterday.  Today is a "stay inside day" for sure.

But the feeding of birdies and beasties must continue.  Gaylord was trying to fend off Squirrel Nutkin with a loud chattering sound with his mouth full of peanut!  It worked for a while but eventually Squirrel Nutkin got his chance.  Sometimes I place a bowl of seeds on the porch floor to cut down on the bickering.   Honestly, it is like a room of five year old children fighting over a bowl of m&m's!
