Meat pie, anyone?

Went to see Sweeney Todd at the Adelphi Theatre in London. The last time I saw Michael Ball in the West End was as Edna Turnblatt in Hairspray. He was fantastic in that role, which couldn't be more different to this one. He was magnificently malevolent as Sweeney and Imelda Staunton was fabulous as Mrs Lovett, purveyor of very special pies.

These days it costs an arm and a leg to get decent London theatre tickets, if you'll excuse the black humour. But it's absolutely worth it when you see an outstanding production starring actors at the top of their game.
