Georgie and Tess

Tess has been counting the weeks, then the days, then the hours until the moment finally came tonight when Georgie, her once neighbour and best friend across the water, arrived at the back door all the way from Northern Ireland for a few days of precious time together. I think Tess's smile says it all. And the weird thing is, although they've been gone near two years, it just felt like normal, like Georgie had never been away and just popped round from two doors down.
