Chabichou du Poitou

Grilled on slices of tomato and lettuce, with a glass of sauvignon blanc ... heaven on a plate. Chabichou du Poitou is a goat's cheese that has a firm but very creamy interior, from the Poitou-Charentes region of France. It was granted its AOC in 1990 with the help of Ségolène Royal. I think the cheese got more out of that deal than she ever did!
