Pictorial blethers

Moon and snow

On this, the last of the short run of lovely days, we hiked round Glen Kin. Or rather, we intended to do this thing; in reality as soon as we reached the head of the glen where the sun doesn't shine in winter we found that the track was covered in gleaming white ice which we couldn't traverse in safety without spikes. As the track lower down had been either dry or muddy, this came as a bit of a blow - especially as we'd already walked more than half-way round. Never mind - the hills looked beautiful, there was a tiny moon (look for it) and the air was completely still. There was a cacophony of crows somewhere above us, too distantly to annoy, and we felt worthy by the time we'd retraced our steps.

For the record: two hours twenty-five minutes; over 15,000 steps up and down; 6.98 miles walked - and 828 calories used!

The extra photo for today is a rather more abstract job ...
