Cloud Explosion
Mrs BB and I, were left to go off on our own in the car as John wanted to go a long walk and his wife and daughter wanted the beach. For no other reason than I liked the name we headed along the motorway to Los Gigantes. It's a lovely place with nice walks and shops. In the local Lidl we got a bottle of red wine and three large baguettes for £2! You can see why so many british holiday or live in Tenerife for a few months a year.
Afterwards we headed on the mountain road to Santa De Teide. It was cloudy and overcast when we stopped of for a coffee (Mrs BB had a quarter litre of wine for £1.75) before we continued up towards Mount Teide. The higher we went the sunnier it became. Not only is it a National Park but a World Heritage site. The scenery is stunning and I make no apologies for posting most of this weeks pictures from there.
On the way back we pulled into a car park facing Mount Teide and I could see the clouds were facing downwards. As I waited they moved over the top of Mount Tiede as though it was a volcanic explosion! My favourite photo of the week, with the sunset being second.
