Snowstorm

Decided we needed a hill day but the weather forecast looked poor so rather than drive miles for a big hill and no viz we stayed close to home. For no viz. walked up on to the Pentlands with not a hill top in sight, heads down into the snow. Wandered round in a general southwesterly direction before heading back down. The wind direction and road sound provided our guide as it was too cold to get a compass out! And we were never lost, just didn't know exactly where we were.
As we arrived back at our car a few hundred people in shorts were heading off up the hill in a race. It was quite a sight.
