Starling Fight

We have a family of starlings (I couldn't really call it a murmuration!) in the leylandii trees at the bottom of our garden. On getting home tonight they were all sunning themselves amongst the branches and I took a shot with the intention of getting you to guess how many there were in the picture (it was a lot!).

However, they flew over to a cherry tree nearby and started to eat the last of the fruit. I was photographing the adult male merrily pulling away at the cherry when junior pushed in. A quick flurry of feathers ensued and I managed to get this shot. Can't say focus is fantastic but I'm pretty chuffed to get an action shot rather than the usual static images on branches.
