Menehune Ditch

This ditch was dug to deliver water to the Tarot fields, by the "original native Hawaiians" who arrived from the Marquesa Islands around 300AD.  The rock for this waterway was brought more than 6 miles.  This group were later replaced by people from Tahiti who started coming here in about 1,000AD.  Only about 60 feet of the waterway is now visible,
