Happy Valentine's Day!

This day promised to be  freezing cold outside and inside as we had a  malfunctioning steam boiler. The service guy arrived at about 1pm.T was on hold just reaching the gas company for two and a half hours early this morning. They promised to send someone out within 2-4 hours, which they did. We had heat from our gas fireplace and our addition heating unit worked, but the main heating system, the one that really heats this old house, was not working with the outside temperature at -2 F with wind chills making it feel so much colder. Anyway, all is well now, the repairs covered by our service contract, and the house is warming up nicely. PHEW!

For the Record,
This day came in with the coldest temperatures in 60 years!!! Not much warmer now, but the sun and lessening wind has helped, it's 12 degrees f now  at 3pm but feels like 6. Very cold tonight as well, but a big warm up on Tuesday.
