Milwaukee Lakefront
You'd think that it was late evening when I took this because of the dark sky, but it was actually only 11:00 a.m. We've got snow showers on the way, & it's only a matter of time until those dark clouds start dropping them on us! You can see all the ice that's accumulated on the rocks along the shoreline, and in the past few days there has been lots of ice forming in the Lake as well, although the ice chunks are all relatively small. Freezing cold this morning, although not nearly the terrible freeze that the East Coast is enduring right now with their 16 degrees below zero, & that's with no chill factor added in! Even in the cold there was lots happening along the Lake--ice fishing inside the breakers, a few hard core nuts joggers, and an area blocked off for the sled dogs and their owners who were offering free sled rides, which DID have a bit of a crowd standing in line, but neither Tom or I were dressed for the cold so we didn't stop. I put a couple of pics in my extras as well in case you'd like to see more ice!! :))
