Winter aconites, Eranthis hyemalis
There are a huge number of winter aconites by the back door, and it is lovely to come home in time to see them flower! I found out today that my gran planted them all thirty years ago, but it took over 5 years for them to flower! They now come up every year and look wonderful. There are also lots of snowdrops, the odd daffodil, and some grape hyacinths (which I love).
My aunt and gran were obviously over the moon when I told them that I will be at Cambridge for the next four years. My gran has even said that she will buy me a bike when I get there, which is lovely. I'm very glad I decided to go home!
