Emerson Puts His Paw Down!

Dear Diary,

I had hoped to get a nice photograph of Emerson in his spiffy Valentine bow tie but he was having none of it.  He is usually very co-operative with my little foolish ideas but this time he firmly put his paw down.  He was not, under no circumstances, wearing that thing!  I had to give up the whole idea.

I put the bow tie on a little table in the tv room and when I came back the sun was illuminating it beautifully, even causing some red dots to appear on the wall.  So, I thought I would have a bit of digital fun with it and create a Valentine from Emerson anyway.

Thank you all for your good wishes for Dotty.  I found her in great spirits yesterday and eagerly anticipating her birthday today...an amazing 95!  And we fully expect that she will be able to come home in a week or two, the best birthday present she could get.
