Birthday Party

Ever since she was tiny, there are certain things that Ky insists on at a party - jelly, preferably layers of different colours, marshmallow top hats and party ring biscuits. All were present for her 13th birthday party - the strange thing was that despite the other girls turning up better dressed and with make-up applied more professionally than I could ever hope for, none of them seemed to think these were strange things to have. They all seem to have got to an age where they desire to be grown-up but are quite willing to hold on to some of their childhood. Ky had organised some party games because the weather was so bad they couldn't go outside. They all joined in playing silly games and organised themselves beautifully -I just had to serve up food! It was lovely to hear them giggling continuously for 4 hours without a cross word or disagreement! They are such lovely, unpretentious girls I have high hopes this will continue for some years.
Despite horrible weather and no BBQ think Ky's birthday was a great success and enjoyed by all.
