Raku plate
Early (for me anyway) and quick blip today, because my friend Gill is coming up from Troon to visit, staying overnight, so I just know that once we start nattering and putting the world to rights, blipping may slip my mind.
This gorgeous raku plate comes from Vancouver Island. Unfortunately I dropped it one day and it broke, but I love it so much that I stuck the bits back together. The cracks are barely visible and I still get enormous pleasure from the piece(s)(!).
By the way, Gill has recently retired from teaching and is bringing with her one of the bottles of champagne given to her on her retirement. Her husband doesn't drink the stuff, so she has asked me to share it with her. So, champagne two days in a row! People will start talking...
