Street repairs

Big excitement today! The city finally decided to repair the pavement outside our house. Which means really big machines came and made a lot of noise and did fascinating things!

Sebbie watched the bulldozer/sledgehammer this morning. And this evening, after the rush hour traffic was over, the bulldozer came back with a backhoe attachment and dump trucks to pull all the broken asphalt out and cart it away. Since it was dark (and snowing!) it was even more fun since the trucks all had their flashing lights on and the whole thing was lit up as a good performance should be...

A very tired boy went straight to sleep this evening...didn't even wait for his bedtime stories.
