My mummy loves me!

A great visit to Edinburgh Zoo .... rather chilly but dry.  As our visit was drawing to a close we came upon the Darwin's Rhea, a flightless bird from the open grasslands of Patagonia and the Andean plateaus of South America.

The extra is a Lilac Breasted Roller from sub-Saharan Africa.  This beautiful bird sat on a branch in the Brilliant Birds Aviary and hardly moved at all during our visit.
