The morning thaw

We had quite a hard ground frost this morning...and I was up in time to witness it!
The sun was quickly melting the frost on the alpine plants in the old stone sink in the garden.  
I know it's not March yet but the quote below seemed apt.

It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.
