My Temporary Charges

It is cupboard love, I know it is, but being met with honking, clucking, bleating, a flurry of wings and little hooves running along the track to meet me every day is incredibly rewarding!  I just love it!  

I tie Ollie to the fence and scoop out the feed, surrounded by two furry little goat muzzles snuffling to get into my hands, beaks pecking at my feet and fearless geese and Agnes, the friendly turkey, trying to get the feed out of the bucket.  They are so noisy and excited, and their happiness is infectious!  Ollie is so good, he is very wary of the geese and Agnes, and sits patiently waiting for me to finish filling water buckets etc before we head home again.  

No word of when their owner is due out of hospital, but I'm happy to carry on for as long as necessary.  I'm thoroughly enjoying myself!
