Red-wattled Lapwing (Vanellus indicus)

The Red-wattled Lapwings are back and in full force. Lots of courting couples, birds chasing off other birds and lots of noisy alert calls 'Did he do it, did he do it'(exactly how a Lapwing's call sounds!)So the Wadi is a very busy place today and soon little Lapwing chicks will be running about, or more to the point chicks running about and then becoming statues and blending in beautifully into the background. The circle of life is in full flow again.
