My Flight to Bliss

I hate to be away from my family. I avoid it whenever I can. With that said.....

My dinner meeting was cancelled at about 4pm and my night became free. I raced to the airport to jump into my little eggbeater airplane (in which I own a share with three other pilots) and flew to the ones I love. I buzzed the house a few times to let them know I had arrived and, then, Bonnie and the girls met me at the airport with the biggest smiles and most open arms possible.

I will be in their glory for the next few hours and go back to the city at 6 am. I will take whatever I can get with the ones I love! I am back on the road to LA tomorrow night. It has been a while since I have been on either of the coasts so I cannot complain.

I shot this through the canopy of my plane. Tis a bit grainy but still fun. Our cabin is on the sandy beach to the left which, tonight, is a much smaller and less sandy beach than normal due to the floods. Typically, the entire shoreline and most of the island is sandy.

The loons are on fire with their calls tonight and the water is quite warm. Perhaps a late night swim is in order. Good night.
