A Picnic Table

   This table is made from stumps of very old oak trees.  The table tops are cross-sections of the trees.  The surfaces are so smooth, you can run your hand over them and never get a splinter.  As I sat on one of these benches, I wonder how many families, moms, dads, and children have sat there and celebrated birthdays, weddings, friends, funerals.  How many proposals of marriage were made here?     Fascinating about times gone by.....
