Sandveien

It's been a day of sunshine but it's been windy and bitterly cold too.

I've been working on the museum desk all day today and it's been fairly quiet.  I did have some computer programming to do for the fancy till and the lasses seemed to have plenty to get on with.  After tea, I fell asleep on the sofa and a bit later getting out walkies with Sammy.  A blustery walk but it's always better than getting soaking wet.  After having Tuesday night off from the pub, I'll have to do my shift tonight instead.

From Sandside to Sandveien.  My lunchtime walk took me through the estate.  It's Shetland's largest housing estate built in the 1970s, 200 odd houses.  It's another place with a notorious reputation for drink and drugs but happy families mixed in as well.  I had been playing about with this photo in mono and liked the way you can see the blue skies and other colours in the windows, and the blue skies reflecting off the car too.  Taken at Sandveien, Lerwick.
