INTOTHE SHADOWS . . .

I attended the funeral of a schoolboy pal today. Chris Jarvis was a grand lad indeed and what a pleasure it was to catch up with his family members.
Chris and I go back to around 1964 and he was an expert photographer as well as a budding guitarist. It is clear that he had two families – his own on Teesside and The Shadows Family. Chris was bass player in Legend – a Shadows Tribute Band. Well not just a band . . .possibly the best tribute band around.
Formed from members of the East Yorkshire Shadows Guitar Club, Legend specialise in playing tracks from the "Burns era" of The Shadows . . .  1964-1968 . . . when the band used Burns guitars rather than the Fender Stratocasters for which they were more famous.
Here is a link showing Chris playing with Bruce Welch.
RIP my friend . . . Dance On !
