Spring has sprung!

After a sharp frost it was a beautiful spring day. All the birds seem to be setting up territories and finding mates, including our resident racing pigeon, who turned up at the end of last summer and has hung around ever since. I watched her being courted by the rather magnificent male pigeon, and eventually, after a few rebuffs, she  accepted his advances. At least we now know her gender! Not sure whether we're going to have to provide a nest space now!
