Jovibarba

Closely related to Sempervivum, the Houseleeks. This is a form of Jovibarba heuffelii, from the Balkans and the Eastern Carpathian mountains. Dark red succulent leaves are attractive all year round. The flower stem and buds are covered in slightly sticky hairs and in truth it probably looks better in bud than in flower!
