Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Canadian sky

We're on the way to the island.  Decided to drive today to Tsawwassen and shop before getting on the morning ferry tomorrow. We had a new microwave to bring and are never sure what Canadian customs will do so decided not to add stress in the morning.  All was well, we did the shopping ( grocery, wine, and some special olive oil and balsamic vinegar from a shop that only sells such) and had a fine dinner out.  The drive up presented us with a lot of different dramatic skies... From clear blue to this dark and grungy look just before the town.
I may someday learn how to spell Tsawwassen on the first try.  It's a native Salish word for "facing the sea" describing this mostly suburban community, the location of the BC ferry terminal as well as the reserve of the Tsawwassen First Nations of Coast Salish ancestry, a people who may have lived in the area for over 4200 years.  One has to drive through Tsawwassen to get to Point Roberts, WA at the south end of this peninsula as it's below the 49th parallel, the border of the 2 countries( see map). a very odd situation.
