Turnstone
A walk around Cramond and up the lower reaches of the river Almond this frosty morning. Lovely, on-form company from the walking group as we explored the walled garden, kirkyard and kirk before we walked upstream to Cramond Brig, investigating the old mills, quarries and industrial sites as we went.
A brisk walk back past the Whitehouse and Barnton House gates to the harbour and I was able to get this shot of a turnstone looking for food as the tide began to rise.
A beautiful, crisp winter's day - lovely.
