Chickens
With storm clouds looming the decision was easily made to take a few shots of the chickens as they are always first on the 'to do' list in the mornings. Needless to say they didn't want to cooperate fully with the proceedings but time was of the essence!
These are two hybrid very skittish New Hampshire bantams which lay beautiful white eggs but make the most terrific racket round the garden. The 'old dear' in the middle is a more sedate Bluebelle, bought from the Three Counties show twelve years ago and the last remaining one here as her mate 'David Peckham' died a few years ago. She too is a hybrid and is still laying terrific large brown eggs.
