Proud Weegie, Wonderful Woman

The countless people who've been blessed to know Shiv are grieving deeply at the loss of this beautiful woman. My friendship with her began here on Blip. Then we traded emails. Then we visited in person at her home in Scotland - where she welcomed my family to meet hers; where she shared stories, traditions, and laughter. It was like we'd known each other for ages. She was kind, helpful, generous, and funny. She was a loyal friend and utterly devoted to her husband and three wonderful daughters.

Humanity has lost one of its best ambassadors this week. But the echo of her laughter lives on. May her family draw strength from her memory. My heart breaks for them.
