Quadrupeds 'R Us?

Saturday in town with the kids, and S spotted this beastie perched high  above the shops. He insisted it was a horse, I thought a stag, but it looked a bit.. not right.

Turns out there was originally a stag there, as decoration for a gun shop, then following a fire, a fibreglass replica was installed in 1984 (see this page, 'Orford Place 8', also unexplained Dalek!). Which is clearly now more than a bit worse for wear, particularly on the antler front.
