Cheviot Centre
Drove home from work in daylight - wonderful! And in time to join MrM and Louie for a short late-afternoon walk around Wooler. We passed the Cheviot Centre as the light was beginning to fade.
The good news: MrM has finished making a new door for the bathroom, and he hung it this evening.
The bad news: the washing machine has packed up. Phoned a repair man who was quite willing to come and sort it out until I told him about its "symptoms". He was of the opinion that it would be a waste of time, especially when he heard that the machine's over 10 years old. Now 10 years doesn't sound that long to me but, apparently, in this horrible age of built-in obsolescence and waste, it's amazing that it's lasted so long...
