Drama on the Seas

Today we had our weekly picnic, Thea & Rudy came too - we enjoyed Cala Tarida being somewhat more dramatic than normal - utterly fantastic! The sound of the waves crashing was deafening, everything was blowing everywhere, and it was amazing!

Tonight we're going to watch the 'burial of the sardine'...apparently it's a 'symbolic burial of the past  to allow society to be reborn.' Thanks northernlass for the explanation! Anyway, what I do know is that you get freshly grilled sardines on bread (for free!) & watch the procession of the big beautiful sardine, ending in a mock burial and funeral... Sounds a bit odd, but it'll be interesting!

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Remembering to put baking powder in cakes I've made for a friend! Hopefully they will be light, unlike the lemon drizzle brick I made for Danny's birthday!!
2) Dramatic weather...wonderful to watch the waves crash...and to see the normally tranquil sea all churned up.
3) Having a backup camera card in my purse...got to the beach & realised my usual camera card was still in my laptop!
