world in a grain of sand

The morning at work went well, with a partners meeting. After that the day tailed off a bit, and although the sun shone enough to persuade me to stay latish and go swimming by the time I drove home it was 14 degrees and raining hard, so I gave it a miss. I wonder if it's the lack of exercise that has left me so jaded?
Began the preparations for the weekend visitors by making beds, cooked and then realised I hadn't got a photo. I bought these white paeonies (sp?) when I was in Banbury on Thursday, I think they're lasting rather well.
I had a good chat with the Bristol based daughter, who's had a haircut and much enjoyed the experience. Baby R was taken to the aquarium while the haircut happened, and greeted her mother with "Daddy - fish! fish!". Is that a first sentence?
