Potomac River at Swain's lock
When I was young the Swain kids rode on my school bus. Before his death, Mr.Swain used to converse with Grandpa Bob (supershrink) and Diamond Lil when they walked the dogs. The little house at Swain's lock stands empty now, and down the canal about two hundred yards is where Grandpa Bob collapsed.
It's just a reminder of how we're all connected some way or another, 5 degrees of separation and all that.
Today Scintilla and his family were visiting for the Thanksgiving week. We all met up at Lil's house and went for a nice walk on the canal at Swain's lock.
It was a beautiful afternoon and we all missed Bob.
