Yet more anthropomorphism
These are not great times.
I had a chance to get another short walk in today.
It comes to something when you feel yourself feeling empathy for rocks but this one looks like suffering that has been cast in stone for eternity.
I greet her and her fellows as old friends, delighted to see them and usually give her a kiss if no-one's about.
I doubt it helps - her or me, but it becomes a moment shared and, once done, can never be lost to time.
