Le premier œuf

...still practicing my french :0)

This is the first one of the season - and about time...I am so not used to buying eggs that for the short time during winter, when the chickens don't lay, I tend to forget.  Then I am constantly bothering my neighbours to lend me some when I get half-way through a baking project and realize I'm out...Hopefully this will be the first of many.
We do need some new chickens though, these are all quite old now.
I will have to order some - last time I did, it completely freaked out the mail lady when she had to deliver a box of cheeping chicks :0)
