From Landscape To Portrait (With Lunch)
I had a very stressful day at work today so really needed to get out at lunchtime to clear my head before heading back to work for more of the same in the afternoon! I work not far from the Royal Academy in London. In the courtyard is this fantastic sculpture by Chris Wilkinson RA called " From Landscape To Portrait" which relates to the buildings around it but also represents picture frames that tilt and twist through a curve that "moves" ninety degrees from landscape through to portrait. I just loved how everyone congregated around this sculpture and today a whole group of schoolchildren sat in front of it eating their lunch, and luckily one boy on the left looked straight into the lens which I think helped complete my image.
I really am going to try and blip every day from now on. It's just some days I really struggle to come up with an image at all - maybe I've just got to be a little more creative!
