A recipe for Shrove Tuesday

Tiny Tuesday: Dill

Cathy was inspired by the pancake recipes in the paper at the weekend and tonight our savoury course was a buckwheat pancake.  Getting the egg yolk to remain runny while getting the white cooked involves separating the two, but that aside, its a relatively easy recipe and you end up with the egg folded neatly inside a pancake packet, with smoked salmon creme fraiche and dill neatly piled on top.

For our sweet course more pancakes with a pear, chocolate, roasted flaked almond filling.  

They were delicious, and tomorrow I shall be older, and heavier :-)  The dill has of course provided the subject matter for today's Tiny Tuesday blip.
