Variable Oystercatcher

And on the third day, you can rest.
Which was just as well as Margie's tummy needed time. Heat, water, food or just too much of a good thing? Who knows? Our peaceful day exploring Awaroa came at just the right time and was a fitting end to our trek. By lunch time we were all ready for the thin crispy pizza that we had declined the night before and happily climbed aboard a water taxi an hour later to be whisked back to our starting point at Marahau. All very relaxed and civilised yet beautiful and unspoilt. Glad we didn't miss this part of New Zealand.
We arrived back in Nelson in time for some pub grub and a beer. Or two.
