Tiny Tuesday Yabby

I know what you're thinking - those claws aren't tiny.
However this was taken with a macro lens so should qualify for TT, hosted this month by trisharooni.

I have previously blipped our attempts at yabbying when we concluded we didn't have any in our dams. Today a neighbour kindly gave us a bucket full so we could stock up.
Would you believe it? The first thing we saw when we got to our dam with was a big yabby. The first we've ever seen there!! Anyway now he's got company.

When I was a child it was a special treat when our father took us to the dam and we caught some for dinner. I seem to remember thinking they were delicious. It remains to be seen whether I will still think so when we harvest these.
