The Morning Commute....

.... of the Bar-tailed Godwits... from the Manukau Harbour, where they've had Breakfast to the Waitemata Harbour for Lunch. At least four separate Flocks passed overhead.... but these guys were making the best patterns. Soon they will be off on their annual migration back to Alaska... only takes them 8 or 9 days... thats a heck of a lot of Flapping !
