Day 39 of 366 - Whitefriars Monastery!
The image today is a view of the Grade I listed Whitefriars Monastery just outside the City Centre of Coventry. The original building was constructed in the Mid 14th Century as a Friary for the Carmelite religious order. The name Whitefriars originates from the colour of the Habits worn by the Friars. In the centre of the image (nearly obscured by the tree) is the Oriel window that was used by Queen Elizabeth I to address the people of Coventry in 1565.
The photo was taken using the App ExposerGL on my iPhone 6.
First I used the app Lightroom to edit the image. I first straightened the image then added some Clarity and Noise Reduction. I then applied the Dynamic preset along with a little Dehaze adjustment. I then used the app DistressedFX to add the Stirred overlay and the Vanilla texture. I flattened the image then added the Egret overlay and the Lade texture. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Warm preset, the Stark FX, the Paper texture and the Leather frame.
