Monsanto

Today’s events were "long". I did reasonably well taking 90 mins and coming 18/34; my best result yet. No2 son (whose name is M) was out for 2hours 40mins on the very long Men's Elite course and found he had visited the wrong control quite early on. How frustrating - all that effort!
 
I want to thank Fairweathergirl for her experimentation with shutter speeds during a rugby match.  I used her recommendation to take a picture of M jogging into the Finish- see extra photo.
 
In the afternoon we visited Monsanto where I took this photo.  A town 750 meters above sea level built in and amongst the rocks on an inselberg- a geological term for a mountain in the middle of a flat plain – and “island mountain”
