Cake pops

I think that's what they're called anywho...
Made a chocolate cake, crumbled it up, mixed it with chocolate fudge icing, rolled it into balls and dipped them in chocolate... Added a glacé cherry in the middle so I'm going to call them Black Forest Balls... Or something nicer if I can think of it!
Our morning began about 6am chasing a field mouse around the lounge, much fun! Thankfully we caught it very humanely and released it across the road somewhere.
Both kids at school today so I got to wander aimlessly. Wonderful.
A relaxed afternoon playing and then baking this evening.
I love my kids, they're just so loving and sensitive. They calm me when I start to get wound up about nothing much, patting me on the knee saying 'it's ok mommy'. Lucie even put her chunky arm round my shoulder and gave me a little kiss.
